SPORTS & NEURO-MSK PHYSIO

High-Level Outpatient Clinic

Sports & neuromusculoskeletal (neuro-MSK) physiotherapy is a specialized area focused on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries, disorders, and diseases impacting the body’s musculoskeletal system—comprising the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones—as well as the nerve pathways that control them. This includes neuromusculoskeletal therapy designed for various conditions.

Whether you are recovering from a sports injury, aiming to return to peak performance, or proactively working to prevent re-injury, our outpatient physiotherapy services are dedicated to restoring optimal movement and building physical resilience through research-backed methods.

Our clinic specializes in sports injury rehabilitation, post-orthopaedic surgeries, and MSK conditions (including peripheral nerves) tailored to individuals across all fitness and athletic levels.

In addition to our core services, we also support high-functioning neurological patients (central nervous system, e.g., stroke) and elderly rehabilitation patients who meet our recommended functional criteria, ensuring a focus on safety, efficacy, and time efficiency.

Acute Sports Injuries & Return To Sports Tests

Acute Injury Management: Immediate clinical assessment and evidence-based early interventions designed to control pain, calm inflammation, protect healing tissues, and accelerate recovery from day one through outpatient physiotherapy techniques.

Sport & Activity-Specific Rehab: Tailored late-stage conditioning and sports-specific exercises aimed at restoring neuromuscular control, strength, agility, coordination, and optimal sport-specific mechanics, especially relevant in sports injury rehabilitation.

Objective Return to Sport & Activity Testing: We remove the guesswork from your recovery process. Utilizing digital muscle dynamometry (Activforce 2), validated and injury-specific outcome measures, along with psychological readiness assessments, we objectively evaluate strength symmetry, power output, and readiness—both functional and psychological—to ensure a safe return to your sport or usual activities.

Musculoskeletal Conditions & Post-Orthopaedic Surgeries

Complex MSK & Peripheral Nerve Care: Our expert team provides targeted neuromusculoskeletal therapy for managing chronic back or neck pain, radiculopathy, sciatica, carpal/tarsal tunnel syndromes, peripheral nerve compressions, tendon pathologies, joint impingements, and osteoarthritis. We focus on holistic approaches, integrating outpatient physiotherapy to enhance recovery outcomes.

Post-Orthopaedic Rehabilitation: We offer structured, surgeon-aligned active rehab protocols for outpatient physiotherapy following procedures such as ACL reconstructions, joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder), rotator cuff repairs, and spinal or peripheral nerve decompression surgeries, ensuring effective sports injury rehabilitation and comprehensive care.

Runners MOT & Injury Prevention

Runner Clinical Profiling: Complete evaluation of your health, medical history, past injuries, and personal performance goals, essential for effective neuromusculoskeletal therapy.

Training Load & Extrinsic Risk Factor Analysis: Review of weekly mileage, workout intensity, surface variation, recovery habits, and footwear suitability to enhance outpatient physiotherapy outcomes.

Morphological & Static Alignment Screening: Structural assessment of joint alignment, foot mechanics, arch posture, and anatomical asymmetry to support effective sports injury rehabilitation.

Running-Specific Neuromuscular & Tissue Capacity Tests: Objective testing of lower limb muscle strength and endurance, single-leg control, and lower-limb load tolerance, vital for assessing neuromusculoskeletal health.

Kinematic Running Gait Analysis: High-speed video motion capture to evaluate hip/knee mechanics, foot-strike pattern, vertical loading, and running cadence in real time, aiding in outpatient physiotherapy.

Risk Stratification & Evidence-Based Action Plan: A structured, personalised summary outlining key injury risk factor insights, targeted strength and conditioning exercises, and training recommendations to reduce the risk of overuse injuries, crucial for effective sports injury rehabilitation.

Sports Neuro Physiotherapy Clinic

To ensure maximum clinical safety, treatment efficacy and time efficiency (30-min follow ups), we welcome neurological and elderly rehab patients who present with mild ambulatory limitations.

Prior to attending the clinic, we recommend that neuro and elderly rehab patients must meet all of the following functional criteria:

Equipment: you can walk independently unaided or use a walking stick/crutch/walker. (If you require significant hands-on help from a caregiver or specialised transfer equipment, our outpatient clinic may not be a suitable fit).

Walking Distance: you can walk continuously for 10+ minutes (approx. 300 meters / 3-4 blocks) without stopping to rest.

Speed & Balance: you can independently stand up from a chair, walk 3 meters (10 feet), turn around, walk back, and sit down in under 14 seconds without any physical assistance.

Alternatively, if you have yet to meet the criteria above, or you require more time and support, please consider booking our home physio service.

Please note: Our clinic treadmill is a non-medical grade system designed exclusively for high-level athletic conditioning, gait analysis, and late-stage sports injury rehabilitation (105kg max load). It is not suitable for individuals undergoing outpatient physiotherapy or those with underlying neurological, cognitive, or balance impairments, as it focuses on neuromusculoskeletal therapy.
